(to see pics, just click on the photo)I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to travel home this past weekend. Matt graciously agreed to stay home with the boys while I spent a few days visiting my parents in Iowa. As luck would have it all of my extended family was also there to enjoy an all day golf outing on Saturday and just time hanging out the remainder of the weekend. Actually, I knew they would be there. I flew in and surprised them, which was just as fun! I enjoyed every second and took in all the Midwest had to offer that I miss everyday...of course my family, the lower humidity, the greener grass (and yes, even the flat landscape), the quicker pace and the Iowa sweet corn (mmmmmm!). I even found myself responding with "yeh" by the end of the trip instead of the "yes ma'am" I have grown accustomed to saying living in the south. I've been in South Carolina so long that the Iowans sounded Canadian to me! Thanks a million to my parents for a wonderful time and for all of my family who entertained me greatly. I miss all of you everyday and can't wait to see all of you again in a few weeks in Long Boat Key, Florida! I will remember to pack Matt, Blake & Dane this time :)
